Kieran went to the Woods Hole Immuniparasitology meeting (WHIP) happening from April 21 – 24, 2024 and presented her research in a talk with the title “Age and parasitemia explain most of the variation in host and parasite gene expression among Malian children infected with P. falciparum“.
Brittany attended the Biology of Genomes conference in Cold Spring Harbor this year from May 7 – 11 and presented a poster on “Examining the effect of Plasmodium vivax coinfections on sexual differentiation using single cell RNA sequencing in a primate model”.
Janne went to Germany to attend the BioMalPar XX: biology and pathology of the malaria parasite, happening from May 21 – 23, 2024 at EMBL in Heidelberg. She presented a poster on “Examining the role of ribosomal RNAs in regulating translational repression in P. falciparum gametocytes”.
